Happy Easter from your Church Family.
The Parish Scarecrow Trail 2025
Please come and join us this year - it is the best fun for everyone and our families love it! It is on now and ends on the 27 April. This year the theme is 'Your Favourite Book'.
The Scarecrow Trail involves about 30 scarecrows being lovingly and creatively made by local residents around a different theme each year. Each Scarecrow is displayed throughout Tutshill village in front gardens and you are challenged to guess the identity of each one! It’s a fantastic community event and helps raise money for charity; this year in addition to supporting our parish churches, we will donate to SARA and Wye Valley Greenway.
£3 entry forms are available from the Lifestyle Express Shop in Tutshill NP16 7DJ.
THIS YEAR ALSO AVAILABLE ONLINE UNTIL THE 27 APRIL - This year the scarecrow trail is available online for people who find it difficult to walk around or live just too far away - family and friends can join in wherever they live! Our Annual Church Meetings (Annual Meeting of Parishioners and APCM) will be held at 12:00 noon in St Luke’s Church Tutshill on Sunday 11 May, after the regular church service.
This is the opportunity for our church community to elect two churchwardens for the next 12 months and one third of our Parochial Church Council (PCC) members for the next 3 years. Our current churchwardens Brian Duerden and Robin Riordan have both advised that they are willing to stand for another year. There are expected to be six vacancies for the PCC this year, and Paul Coombs has indicated that he is willing to stand for another 3-year term.
If you would like more information, please do speak to the churchwardens or to Iain Gardiner. Application forms for nominating churchwardens and PCC Members are available from Annabelle, Iain or download from this website and hard copies are available at the back of each church. The formal legal notice of these meetings has been posted on church notice boards.
The Trustees’ Report and Annual Accounts for 2024 have been approved by PCC and signed off by our Independent Examiner. If you wish an electronic or hard copy of this document or the other papers for our Annual Church Meetings, please do let Annabelle or Iain know.

We are an eclectic Church of England parish in the most south westerly corner of the Diocese of Gloucester, on the Welsh border with Chepstow, between the rivers Severn and Wye; our Parish covers Tutshill, Beachley, Sedbury, Tidenham, Tidenham Chase, Boughspring, Stroat, Woodcroft or Llancaut. There are three church buildings at Tutshill, Tidenham and Tidenham Chase, offering Sunday worship services ranging with traditional Eucharistic worship, Common Worship and the Book of Common Prayer and more informal modern worship. We are also active during the week and we are proud to say our churches support Fairtrade! Please come and join us, whether you live in the Parish or further afield - we offer fellowship, support and fun!

Our Parish motto ‘where the river flows everything will live’ (Ezekiel 47:9) reflects our vision within the local and global environment. Our Parish vision of ‘Living Life Together in the Flow of God’s Love’ complements the Gloucester Diocesan LIFE vision and we have a strong emphasis on 'doing relationship well' through transforming worship, authentic discipleship, building up capacity, loving community and engaging mission. This is embedded into our lay ministry, pastoral care and engagement within the community.
